Transpalatal Arch (TPA)

transpalatal arch (tpa) The T.P.A. is a small bar used to perform molar movements that wires alone can not accomplish. It is a thin bar that follows the curve on the roof of the mouth. We also use them to maintain expansion after expanding the palate. Usually the T.P.A. is worn 4-6 months.
